Metcal MFR-1160 Single Output Soldering System

The Metcal MFR-1160 is a powerful, cost-effective system with a variety of options and accessories to meet nearly any application. The MFR-1100 series uses SmartHeat Technology, a microprocessor controlled heating system which operates at lower temperatures and eliminates calibration time. The power delivered to the tip automatically varies in direct response to the thermal load which eliminates spikes and transients associated with electrically switched elements found in conventional soldering irons. The MFR-1100 power supply has a powerful 60W output, and can be used with several different handpieces, including a de-soldering option. Compatible with hundreds of tips and nozzles, it is extremely versatile and suited for use in demanding environments.

MFR-1160 comes with a Cartridge Hand-piece especially designed for Metcal SSC cartridges. This system will allow users of the Metcal SP200 Soldering System to continue to use their Metcal SSC cartridges.
