Tuning Forks

Specific frequency is a product of length, width, thickness and elasticity. Weighting the fork increases the mass at the ends of the prongs and lowers the frequency in a shorter and easier to use length, transferring more energy to the handle. To maximize performance including ring time, tuning forks at or below 256 Hz should be weighted, but tuning forks above 256 Hz should be furnished without weights.

The tuning forks are manufactured with corrosion and rust resistant aluminum alloy with single frequency pure tone. The lower 2 octave forks are weighted, and the others are unweighted. The set of six tuning forks includes one of each tuning fork in a case.
